Harbour Kitchen brand and id

Situated on the harbour-front in Stornoway, Scotland, Harbour Kitchen prides itself in its recent collection of seafood. Designer Pearse O’Halloran was tasked with creating an id that advised the story of their culinary satisfaction in a recent context.

“We created a set of name belongings and we have been delighted to work with native printmaker Alice Macmillan on the primary visible parts. The undertaking features a customized show typeface based mostly on Hebridean tradition.”

You’ll undoubtedly be shocked to notice that the HK monogram is the star of the undertaking for me.

The intricate linocut work in Alice’s portfolio is beautiful, too. And, a bit off-topic, I loved studying a 2019 weblog submit of hers about moving back to the Hebrides after a decade in South England. “…I’d come house and stoop on the couch like an irritable cabbage…”

The extent of element in Alice’s linocut (under). Splendid.

Jogged my memory of one other fish kitchen logo I loved.

Extra from Pearse and Alice.
